Paula Rezende Camargo is a professor and researcher at the Department of Physical Therapy at Universidade Federal de São Carlos (Brazil), where she coordinates the Laboratory of Analysis and Intervention of the Shoulder Complex. Her main research interests are shoulder biomechanics and evidence-based rehabilitation for shoulder dysfunctions, primarily aiming to improve the care of patients with shoulder pain. She has been one of the Editors-in-chief of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy since 2015.
