Dr Lauren Struszczak is a Research Fellow in the BioActivEx research team in the Public Health and Sports Sciences department. She has an interest in human physiology and nutrition with a specific interest in health research surrounding inflammation, immunology, ageing and disease. Her research investigates how lifestyle factors, including exercise and nutritional interventions, can positively influence health.
Dr Lauren Struszczak completed her Undergraduate and Masters qualifications at Loughborough University before completing her PhD in The Department for Health at The University of Bath investigating lifestyle and aspects of immunity among healthy women, patients undergoing neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer and survivors of the disease. She has previously held a Research Assistant post at Loughborough University investigating the effect of probiotic supplementation on immune function with and was a Scientific Officer for Army Recruiting and Initial Training Command in the Ministry of Defence before moving to the University of Exeter in 2021.
