Overview

As Director of Faculty Operations (DFO) for the faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Tom Begbie holds leadership responsibility for professional services and operational delivery in the College. The DFO is a key role in the HLS Executive team, directly supporting the University strategic plans for the delivery of excellence in teaching and research.

Tom joined the University in 2018 from the University of Bristol, where he was the School Manager of Bristol’s School of Education between 2013 and 2018. Prior to this, Tom held a number of roles in a range of areas at the University of Exeter between 2005 and 2013.

Tom holds a degree and a PhD in music from Dartington College of Arts, which is now integrated with Falmouth University.
