Senior Research Nurse (Diabetes)

Brittany is a Senior Research Nurse specialising in diabetes. She initially trained to be a Registered Nurse, graduating in 2013 from Simmons University in Boston, United States. She practiced as a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator for 4 years at Joslin Diabetes Center in the United States while simultaneously training to become a Nurse Practitioner. She then went on to practice as a Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner for over 3 years at Joslin. She worked on a variety of preventive and new-onset type 1 diabetes clinical research trials as well as managing care for individuals with prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Brittany moved to the United Kingdom in 2020 to join the diabetes research team at Exeter. She will be working in the NIHR Exeter Clinical Research Facility (CRF) as a Senior Research Nurse on a variety of diabetes studies, with a focus on monogenic diabetes.
