Overview

Cigdem graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Science, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2016. Then, she completed my MSc degree at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Institute of Graduate Studies, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation under the supervision of her advisor Assoc. Prof. Goksen Kuran Aslan. Her master thesis titled “Effect of expiratory muscle training on cough efficacy in children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis” was supported by the Research Fund of Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa.

She is a PhD student at the same university. Her PhD thesis titled "Comparison of effects telerehabilitation-based group and individual exercise in patients with cystic fibrosis" that was funded by TÜBİTAK 1002-A project. She worked as a research assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Health Science, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation until August, 2023. She awarded a grant by TÜBİTAK 2214-A scholarship program. Now, she is a visiting researcher at the Children's Health and Exercise Research Center, University of Exeter.
