Overview

I am a Postdoctoral Health Statistics Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Medical School. I work part-time across two roles, including working within Exeter Clinical Trials Unit. The projects I'm currently working on include:

NightCAP - Improving night-time care and reducing hypnotic drug use in people living with dementia in care homes

RESPOND - Investigating the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for depressed non-responders to Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) high-intensity therapies

cASPerCF - Prospective validation and clinical evaluation of a new posaconazole dosing regimen for children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis and Aspergillus infection

StopFLU - Using routine data from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) to investigate the potential modulatory effects of statins on the flu vaccine

Living With Covid Recovery - Evaluating Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) for patients with Long Covid using the 'Living With Covid Recovery' digitally enabled rehabilitation programme

In the future I would be interested in developing my skills further to include working with routine data such as Hospital Episode Statistics, SAIL or CPRD in order to establish relationships between comorbidities and / or personal characteristics and an individual patient's response to treatment.

Qualifications

PhD Quantification of the risk of breast, uterine and cervical cancers in symptomatic women in primary care - Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (2017)
