Dr Bridget Fox
I am a molecular and cell biologist with experiences ranging from cell cycle regulation and phosphoinositide 3-kinase signalling, regulatory T-cell biology, single cell real-time RTqPCR and identification of invertebrate populations using next generation sequencing. I have examined the effects of slow-release hydrogen sulfide donors on inflammatory mediators in an in vitro model of joint inflammation, and I am currently examining their role on glycocalyx degradation in retinal endothelial cells to dissect potential effects of the donors under hyperglycaemic conditions, as found in diabetic retinopathy.
