Ziqing (Esther) Ye

Esther is funded by the ESRC SWDTP ADR UK PhD studentship. The focus of her project is to examine predictors of educational and employment outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities. To explore this topic, she is currently doing a systematic review and secondary data analysis using linked administrative datasets. Esther is supervised by Professor Helen Dodd, Dr Abby Russell, and Professor Anna Adlam. She is based within the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Research Collaboration (ChYMe).

Prior to undertaking this PhD, Esther worked as a paediatrician and research fellow. Her roles primarily involved clinical service in paediatrics and research in paediatric disorders. It is her clinical and research experience that drives her passion to pursue the Master of Research programme in Health and wellbeing at the University of Exeter.
