Sarah is an Education and scholorship focused member of staff. Sarah complete her undergraduate degree and PhD at the University of Birminghma. Her PhD was focussed on muscle protein metabolism under the supervision of Kevin Tipton and Asker Jeukendrup.  Sarah joined the department of Sport and Health Sciences in September 2011 working as a postdoctoral research fellow with Professor Peter Krustrup researching the effects of football on bone health.

 

In July 2013 Sarah started as a Lecturer in Physiology and Nutrition. In July 2019 Sarah was promoted to her current position of Senior Lecturer. Sarah has been nominated and shortlisted in the Guild teaching awards for her support for students. She has various teaching responsibilities within the department including Director of Undergraduate Studies and Senior Tutor. She has previously been involved in Flexible Combined Honours co-ordinator and programme advisor for the joint programme with Medical Sciences, Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences.
