Sanghyuk Han
Postgraduate Researcher
Sport and Health Sciences
I am a PhD student in Public Health and Sport Sciences, primarily interested in biomechanics, focusing on modelling and computational approaches such as musculoskeletal modelling and finite element analysis. My work involves applying these techniques to real-world sports scenarios, injury prevention, enhancing athlete performance, and product research. Specifically, I have experience in statistical shape modelling for constructing bone models, which aids in understanding biomechanics at both individual and population levels. Additionally, I am currently working as a Research Engineer (Biomechanics) in the Human Performance Lab at the Descente (Footwear) Innovation Studio Complex in order to improve the footwear performance and product using biomechnical approaches. I also have a passion for teaching and collaborating in academic settings to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
