I'm currently study as a PhD student at the Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre, University of Exeter. I am currently working with England Athletics to explore injury prevention in youth track and field athletes. The aim of my work is to improve their overall wellbeing while developing strategies that can effectively reduce injuries in real-world training and competition settings. Before starting my PhD, I was involved in projects examining exercise interventions for university students’ physical health and mobile phone addiction, as well as designing and implementing rehabilitation programmes for female methamphetamine addicts and contributing to physical health management systems within drug rehabilitation settings. These experiences helped me develop practical skills in programme design, data collection, statistical analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration, which now inform my doctoral research. Through my PhD, I aim to translate research into practice by developing evidence-based approaches that can be applied in real-world youth sport settings. I hope my work will provide insights to help coaches, sports organisations, and health professionals create safer training environments that enhance both the performance and wellbeing of these athletes, while reducing their risk of injury.
