About me:
Helen has worked for the University of Exeter Medical School as a systematic reviewer since 2005, joining PenTAG in 2010. Her current role in PenTAG is to evaluate health technologies, and she has a particular interest in evaluating diagnotic tools, screening and surveillance programmes.
She has a background in Psychology and Health Services Research (primary and secondary research), and in evaluating health technologies (especially non-pharmacological interventions) for depression and anxiety.
Helen has previously worked for the University of Exeter Medical School as a Problem Based Learning tutor and on developing the Human Sciences component of the BMBS curriculum. She currently convenes a MSc Module in Systematic Reviews for Policy and Practice.
Interests:
Helen’s research interests are in evaluating health technologies, particularly in the area of mental health, and more specifically familial and maternal mental health. As a Systematic Reviewer in Health Technology Assessment, her current role involves evaluating a broad range of technologies for a wide variety of medical conditions.
