A National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School for Public Health (SPHR) Predoctoral Fellow as part of the School for Public Health Environments Research at Exeter (SPHERE). Before Exeter, he was a research assistant in a National Health Service (NHS) specialist mental health trust. In this role, he worked across eight research clinics to evaluate the latest interventions to help bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. He has varied research experience in mixed methods, co-production, and evidence synthesis.
He is also a campaigner for the rights of displaced people for health and education, holding national and international positions in organisations with an advocacy focus. In these areas, he has lobbied policymakers at the House of Lords and delivered interventions at national and international conferences with UNHCR and UNESCO. Additionally, he is a Universities of Sanctuary steering group member, Student Action for Refugees (STAR) Equal Access Activist group member, and Tertiary Refugee Student Network (TRSN) global leader.
