I am a Physiotherapy Research Fellow working on the NIHR HTA funded REACH study - Randomised Evaluation of rehabilitation after ACute proximal Humerus fracture. This study is comparing clinical and cost effectiveness of self-directed rehabilitation verus physiotherapist-supervised rehabilitation. I am responsible for designing the trial intervention and delivering training to participating NHS sites, working closely with the trial management team.
I have several years experience in the NHS and private sector as a specialist physiotherapist treating a range of conditions including musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and neurology. This included working as a research physiotherapist recruiting to nationally funded research studies. I am specifically interested in orthopaedic rehabilitation and frailty.
Currently I am undertaking a part time MSc in Health Research Methods at the University of Exeter.
