About me:

Dr Farmer is a senior research fellow who joined PenTAG in December 2018. She is a highly experienced systematic reviewer with a background in conducting literature reviews to inform health policy and practice in the UK and internationally. She has previously produced guidelines on behalf of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and for specialist NHS services. Caroline moved to PenTAG after working in consultancy on systematic reviews and health technology assessment. Within the PenTAG group, Caroline conducts appraisals of HTA submissions, and leads methodology and policy-based research projects. In addition, Caroline is Director of Operations for the PenTAG team.

  • Prognostic risk factor/risk prediction models
  • Service delivery
  • Specialist topic interests in mental health, trauma, multimorbidity, intimate partner/domestic violence, health behaviour change.


Qualifications:

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology (University of Exeter, 2013)
  • Msc in Psychological Research Methods (University of Exeter, 2008)
  • Bsc in Psychology & Sociology (University of Sheffied, 2006)
