About me:
Dr Chris Byrne is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy and Programme Director for the MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Chris is a Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. His research is focused on two themes in athlete, clinical, and military populations: musculoskeletal injury prevention and rehabilitation and; physiological function and performance during physical activity in environmental heat and cold. Chris has previously held post-doctoral research positions in rehabilitation at the University of Oxford and military physiology with Singapore’s Defence Medical and Environmental Research Institute, along with academic positions in exercise physiology and physiotherapy.
