About me:
Alex is a highly experienced systematic reviewer and information specialist who joined PenTAG as a Research Fellow in September 2023.
He began working in systematic reviews and health technology assessments of research evidence in healthcare in 2011 and has primarily spent the intervening years producing guidelines on behalf of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and for specialist NHS services.
Alex’s current role in PenTAG is to evaluate health technologies for national policymakers.
Interests:
Alex is interested in the move towards using new tecnnologies and automation through artificial intelligence in health technology assessment. He sees the incorporation of new technoloies and automation as an opportunity to create better work more efficiently, but also as a challenge to use new technologies appropriately and understand their limitations.
