Research

Research interests

I am starting a new portfolio of research which will focus on gender and inequalities in early cancer diagnosis.  My main interests are primary care research with a focus on health inequalities and early cancer diagnosis.  I am interested in quantitative and systematic review methodology and hope to develop skills in these areas during my fellowship.

As a part of the University’s Women’s Health Research Group, given my previous work in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, I continue to explore and be involved in research in Women’s health including work on premenstrual syndrome, contraception and urogynaecology.

Research projects

  • Gender inequalities in early cancer diagnosis (scoping review)
  • Ethnic inequalities in cancer diagnosis
  • Diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in primary care
  • Respiratory viral illness and transmission in care homes
  • Premenstrual syndrome diagnostic methods
