Overview
Vicky is a Health and Care Professions Council registered radiographer and completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Medical Imaging at Exeter University in 2009.
During her degree at Exeter she developed a strong interest in Nuclear Medicine and following University she worked as a band six Nuclear Medicine radiographer for six years at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Wonford.
During this time within the Nuclear Medicine department Vicky especially enjoyed the patient care and teaching aspect of this job.
Vicky then went on to study as a postgraduate researcher at Exeter University with her key research area being ‘Obese patient care within radiography’.
More recently Vicky has joined the Medical Imaging team at the University of Exeter as an Associate Lecturer. This has enabled her to combine her enjoyment of teaching patient care to both the apprentices and the undergraduates with her keen research interests via a part- time PhD.
