Overview

Sarah’s role as Executive Officer is to provide executive support to the Director of Faculty Operations and the Pro-Vice Chancellor in all aspects of their work with regard to the day-to-day running of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.   This includes providing the secretariat for the Faculty Executive Board (FEB); internal governance activities; risk management; business planning; and the drafting of papers and reports.  Sarah is also a former Co-Chair of the College of Medicine and Health Equality & Diversity Group (previously the Athena SWAN Working Group).

Sarah was shortlisted for the 2013 Roddy Ross Memorial Prize, an annual award made to Professional Services staff within the University, and was shortlisted for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Award at the 2019 Professional Services Recognition Awards. 

Qualifications

  • MA Library & Information Studies
  • BA Hons Combined Studies (History & English)

Career

Prior to joining the University, Sarah worked as Knowledge & Information Manager at the South West Regional Development Agency, where she was responsible for knowledge management strategy and activity; records management strategy and policy; and intranet and web content management.

Sarah is an experienced project manager, holding Prince 2 and MSP registered practitioner status.
