Overview
Dr Russell Gibson is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in general adult psychiatry at Exeter University and core trainee in psychiatry at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Current research involves undertaking a mixed method analysis of mental health-related patient safety incidents reported in primary care, with the aim of making recommendations for improved safety of mental healthcare provision. He was previously shortlisted for RCPsych Foundation Doctor of the year 2015. He is currently undertaking a masters in leadership for the health professions at Swansea University, and is involved in developing a number of quality improvement and medical education projects within Devon Partnership NHS trust.
