Josh did his undergraduate in Biochemistry at the University of Kent, during which time he took a voluntary role in the research lab of Dr. Dan Mulvihill assessing the growth rate of yeast model cell lines. Following graduation, Josh worked for Eli Lilly and Co. as a neuropathologist researching neurodegenerative conditions through histological analysis of mouse and human samples.
In 2019 Josh joined the Epigenetics of Complex Diseases group at the RILD as a PhD Student under the supervision of Professor Katie Lunnon, Dr. Ehsan Pishva and Professor Jon Mill. The project will focus on profiling epigenomic changes in methylation state associated with Dementia with Lewy bodies and Parkinson’s Disease Dementia.
