About me:
After graduating with a degree in Environmental Science, Vicki trained as a Forest School leader before working as a freelance outdoor educator and outreach coordinator with children, young people and families. In 2006 she trained as a secondary school teacher and developed a teaching career specialising in land and craft based education and SEND.
In recent years Vicki completed an MSc in Practical Skills Therapeutic Education, gained experience in educational leadership, and trained as an Integrative Counsellor.
For many years Vicki was a Trustee for the charity Ruskin Mill Trust, a leading independent provider of innovative and experiential education for children, young people and adults with SEND.
Outside of her PhD work, she works as a schools advisor and mentor for Ruskin Mill Trust and also has her own counselling practice (victoriawrencounselling.com) working with adults, young people and organisations.
Her interests include exploring wild places, storytelling, growing food, and fossil hunting by the sea.
