Luke is a scientist in the AGE (Ageing & long-term conditions, Genetics, & Epidemiology) group in the Department of Clinical & Biomedical Sciences at the University of Exeter. His research interests are broadly around understanding why some people are more susceptible than others for risk of age-related, long-term chronic conditions. This includes lifespan overall, multimorbidity, pharmacogenetics, and specific biological mechanisms (e.g., iron). He has a human genetics and bioinformatics background that he combines with epidemiological training and collaobaration with clinical and interdisciplinary collagues to address these questions, utilizing cohort data with combined genetics, healthcare records, and biomarkers.

Postgraduate Research opportunities: Luke is open to enquiries from students with their own funding interested in pursuing an MSc by Research or PhD in ageing, epidemiology, genetics, and related research.
