I have experience conducting social and behavioural intervention RCTs involving people living with dementia and their caregivers, within NHS, care homes, and primary care settings. In addition, I have undertaken service evaluations across a range of healthcare services, including urgent geriatric care, fragility fracture pathways, and virtual rehabilitation wards.
My methodological expertise spans mixed-methods process evaluations and the application of behavioural and implementation science for complex healthcare interventions. I have a particular interest in person-centred and tailored research methodologies for older adults, with a specific focus on dementia-inclusive research. I am particularly drawn to realist methodology because it allows for a nuanced understanding of how and why interventions work (or don't work) for people living with dementia and their caregivers, by considering the complex interplay between individual, social, and contextual factors.
