Dr Jayden Van Horik

About me:

Jayden joined the University of Exeter in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychology. He then joined the College of Medicine and Health as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Ageing and Cognitive Health (REACH) in 2020, and joined the Exeter Clinical Trials Unit in 2021. Before moving to Exeter, Jayden was a postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, University of Cambridge.

Jayden’s research in cognition and experimental psychology has resulted in over 40 publications, which have provided him with a strong understanding of experimental design, research methodology and statistical techniques.

Jayden is currently the Programme Manager for TIMES: TaIlored ManagEment of Sleep for people living with dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in the community who experience sleep difficulties.

Interests:

Much of Jayden’s research has focused on using animal models to illuminate the processes that underlie individual differences in cognition (Executive Functions), particularly those related to human neurodegenerative and pathological disorders.

Jayden has worked on numerous clinical trials, particularly those involving RCTs of complex psycho-social interventions.
