I joined in 2025 as a postdoc in the Reproductive Genomics group within Exeter Medical School, researching the genetics of female reproductive ageing. My interests are in understanding the biological mechanisms of reproductive traits through the integration of multi-omics data with both common and rare variant data. I am also interested more generally in understanding more about the role of non-coding variation in complex traits and the mapping from variant to gene.
I completed my PhD at York in 2025, with the thesis titled "Development and validation of lymphoma classifiers using gene expression profiling data from a population-based cohort". During my PhD I developed an interest in meta-analyses of transcriptomic experiments with complex design and rigorous validation of machine learning-based classifiers. From this thesis both classifiers and bioinformatics tools were created as open source code/software to use.
