Miss Eugenie Evelynne Johnson
Research Fellow
Public Health and Sport Sciences
I am a Research Fellow (Clinical Reviewer) with PenTAG since February 2026. I am experienced in different forms of evidence synthesis, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and evidence gap maps (EGMs). As part of PenTAG, I assist in appraising HTA submissions for the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
I also have a strong interest in women's health, particularly surrounding urogynaecology (covering conditions such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse) and gynaecology, and have been co-Principal Investigator for an NIHR-funded Health Technology Assessment surrounding non-surgical interventions for pelvic organ prolapse. Additionally, I work in methods to help patients and the public become more involved in shaping how we do evidence syntheses.
My research interests include:
- Systematic reviews and other forms of evidence syntheses (including scoping reviews and evidence gap maps)
- Critical appraisal
- Specialist topic interests in urogynaecology, gynaecology and broader women's health topic areas
- Patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE)
