Ms Daria Arutyunova

Daria worked as a senior statistician for a commercial clinical research organization before joining the Exeter Clinical Trials Unit as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Medical Statistics in August 2025.

She has prior experience with oncological, gynaecological and neurological phase I/II/III trials.

She is currently working as a trial statistician on the following phase III trials:

• MITS2: a double-blind randomised placebo-controlled trial to assess the effectiveness of metformin in refractory epilepsies associated with tuberous sclerosis complex

• DEXACELL: a double-blind randomised placebo-controlled trial to assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of dexamethasone as an adjunctive therapy for the management of cellulitis in urgent secondary care
• CHORUS: a double-blind randomised placebo-controlled trial to assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of oral corticosteroids in patients with fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis
