About me:

Abigail is a PhD researcher working with the Exeter Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and the Alzheimer's Society funded Lewy Body Dementia Doctoral Training Network. Her research focuses on understanding the rehabilitation needs of people living with Lewy body dementia and their carers. Working collaboratively with people with lived experience, carers, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders, she aims to co-develop a tailored rehabilitation intervention to improve outcomes such as mobility, independence and quality of life.

Before starting her PhD, Abigail worked as an occupational therapist for 11 years, supporting people living with dementia and their families across a range of healthcare settings. Her clinical experience informs her research and has shaped her interest in developing and evaluating person-centred rehabilitation approaches that support people to live well with dementia.
