I am a PhD researcher in the VITAL team at the University of Exeter, working in partnership with Smiths Detection. My research focuses on understanding the connection between visual search, perception, and the intersect with threat detection. By integrating principles from psychometric testing, cognitive psychology, and eye-tracking, my work aims to develop predictive models for assessing candidate performance and improving training protocols for security professionals. Thus, my research has practical applications in enhancing safety and efficiency in threat detection systems, contributing to advancements in both technology and human factors in security settings.
