Overview

Natalie recently joined University of Exeter College of Medicine and Health in partnership with Health and Care Innovations (HCI) as a KTP Associate in May 2022. The KTP project is focused on embedding behavioural science capabilities and mixed-methods research into HCI’s multi-morbidity app, CONNECTPlus.

She recently worked at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU)  as an Associate Lecturer and assessor in physical activity, sport science, behaviour change and nutrition. Alongside this role, she completed a PhD at SHU in partnership with ukactive and the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM), conducting a realist evaluation to understand the co-location of secondary healthcare and community based leisure centres designed to promote physical activity.

She has experience working as a Community Engagement Coordinator with Intelligent Health to implement a large-scale physical activity intervention in Sheffield, called Beat the Street. She has also worked as a Workplace Wellbeing Consultant at Sheffield Hallam University Staff Wellbeing. Additional work experience in the US and UK includes workplace health, physical activity interventions, public health departments, university health and fitness instruction.
