About me:
Shokraneh is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Chartered Psychologist within the College of Medicine and Health, with a strong background in health psychology. She is currently working on the 'ImPROving GROUP treatment for people with severe obesity' (PROGROUP) project, which seeks to optimise and test a new group-based intervention for promoting healthy lifestyle behaviours amongst people with severe obesity.
Having completed her BSc in Psychology in 2016 and MSc in Health Psychology in 2017, Shokraneh was awarded a PhD studentship in 2017, where she undertook the development and evaluation of a digital sleep intervention (SleepWise) aimed at adolescents. She has vast experience in developing and evaluating complex interventions, using mix-methods analysis, and has worked on a number of NIHR funded projects, including a digitally delivered remote support rehabilitation for Long-Covid (Living With Covid Recovery), an online weight management intervention (Positive Online Weight Reduction- POWeR+), a digital intervention offering lifestyle and wellbeing support for cancer survivors (Cancer: Life Affirming Survivorship support in Primary care Programme- CLASP), and as a remote supporter on a web-based intervention aimed at reducing and preventing cognitive impairment in older age groups (Reducing and preventing Cognitive impairment iN older age groups- RECON). She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) (Division of Health Psychology).
