About me:

Nur joined the University of Exeter Medical School in March 2022. She is working as a statistician and data analyst in the Exeter Collaboration of Academic Primary Care (Apex) group with associate professor Gary Abel. She obtained her PhD in Medical Statistics and Health Data Science from the University of East Anglia.

 

During her PhD, she developed statistical models for estimating the long-term effect of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on the hazards of all-cause mortality in UK women using primary care data from The Health Improvement Network (THIN) database. Nur worked as a research assistant on clinical data analysis at the College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences of the University of Exeter before starting her PhD.


Interests:

Nur’s main research interests are in the application of mathematical and statistical techniques in applied healthcare research, with a particular focus on improving women’s health and the quality of life of people living with non-communicable diseases.
