About me:
Janice is a Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Deep Dementia Phenotyping (DEMON) Network, a global initiative supporting the application of data science and artificial intelligence to dementia research with over 1,600 innovators across 6 continents. Janice oversees strategic partnership development and manages the research activity of 7 multidisciplinary Working Groups, which focus on delivery of collaborative publications, funding applications and knowledge exchange.
A Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), Janice's scientific expertise includes development and validation of clinical prediction models, incorporating a wide range of clinical, biomarker and genetic features from large population-based cohorts and clinical datasets. Her work has included development of prognostic models for use in specialist settings such as the National Prion Disease Unit, screening tools for clinical trial recruitment, and prediction models for primary care, including a clinical decision support system for dementia identification in non-specialist settings.
