From undergraduate programmes, through postgraduate taught and research programmes to continuing professional development opportunities, we are committed to lifelong learning, underpinned by research-led teaching. 

Undergraduate

We offer undergraduate programmes that develop the science and healthcare leaders of the future, who are socially accountable and committed to the service of patients and the public.  

Our students have numerous opportunities to gain real-world experience, whether it is part of a professional training year placement on our Medical Sciences, Neuroscience, Nutrition or Exercise and Sport Sciences programmes, or as part of our Medicine programme, where students gain clinical placement experience from the first few weeks of the course.  

Postgraduate taught

We invite you to join a community of postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds: scientists, researchers, educators, practitioners. Together we provide a supportive environment in which you can develop advanced knowledge and skills that will enable you to make a positive contribution to medicine and health and further develop your career. 
 
We offer a range of postgraduate programmes in Healthcare and Medicine at our Exeter (St Luke’s) and Cornwall campuses, with some online options, as well as Sport and Health Sciences programmes at our Exeter (St Luke’s) campus. 

Postgraduate research

We offer a wide range of academic and clinical expertise ranging from the molecular and genetic to experts in applied healthcare and methodological areas of research. As a research student you will join a thriving research community and benefit from dedicated and knowledgeable supervision and access to outstanding facilities. 

We have a range of postgraduate research programmes in Healthcare and Medicine based at our Exeter (Streatham and St Luke’s) and Cornwall campuses, as well as programmes at our Exeter (St Luke’s) campus.

Degree Apprenticeships

Our Level 7 (Postgraduate) Degree Apprenticeship programmes include: 

  • Advanced Clinical Practitioner (MSc) designed for practitioners from a range of backgrounds including (but not limited to) radiography, nursing, pharmacy, paramedics, occupational therapy and midwifery  
  • Senior Leader (Healthcare) suitable for current and future senior leaders in healthcare from organisations of all sizes in the private, public or voluntary sector

Short courses and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Learn and develop with us through a series of impactful, innovative and inspirational courses, events and conferences with patient care at their core.

Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities are designed and delivered by faculty who are role models for combining healthcare expertise with research-led education. At the heart of our approach is a strong, supportive partnership to help you develop the advanced skills and knowledge you need to make a positive contribution to the delivery of care.

Credit bearing modules

A number of modules within our MSc programmes are available to complete individually, and credits achieved can be used towards gaining a Certificate, Diploma or Masters award.

Intercalation
