Clinical and Biomedical Sciences

Our campuses

Our programme is delivered over two main campuses; the St Luke’s Campus in Exeter and the Truro Campus in Cornwall. At both campuses you will have access to modern teaching facilities with all of the resources that you will need as you progress through your studies.

In year one you will be based at the St Luke’s Campus. Significant investment has been made in new teaching, research and study facilities in recent years. The campus is within walking distance of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (RD&E).

In years two, three and four you will be based at St Luke's or at our Truro Campus, on the site of the Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske). During year three and four you will rotate through a series of hospital and community placements which provides an extensive range of experiences in clinical settings.

In year five students will undertake a series of apprenticeship attachments in hospitals across the South West including Exeter, Truro, Barnstaple and Torbay as well as General Practice.

St Luke's (Exeter)

The St Luke’s Campus is a 10 minute walk from the city centre and just over a mile away from the Streatham Campus across the city. The campus is close to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Students have studied at St Luke’s Campus for over 150 years and the campus enjoys and vibrant atmosphere in which everyone soon gets to know each other.

As you walk through the arches of the traditional North Cloisters building you will see the lawns of the quadrangle surrounded by modern teaching buildings, including the Medical School building.
