Overview

Alice is Director of Student Support (clinical practice) for BMBS, responsible for health related support, and overseeing pastoral and academic support on the programme.

She chairs the Clinical Practice Review Group and Academic Review Group.

She also teaches and facilitates  in several modules on the Masters in Clinical Education programme.

Career

Alice came into medical education as a GP, and has been involved in teaching at the University of Exeter, both undergraduate and postgraduate since 2006. 

She has a variety of experience in medical education having been an academic tutor and small group facilitator for many years, some as a lead tutor/faciltator, led Professional Development Groups and been Exeter theme lead for the Doctors as Teachers SSU as well as teaching on a variety of postgraduate modules.

She has been involved in university wide projects mainly around tutoring and student support, including an Exeter Education Incubator fellowship in 2017-18.

Alice teaches on several modules on the Masters in Clinical Education and her interests are particularly around supporting learners and inclusive education.
