Dr Toby Jackman is a Lecturer in Clinical Skills on the Medicine BMBS programme at the University of Exeter and is Cornwall Locality Lead for Year 4 Clinical Skills. He has previously held positions as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Exeter Medical School, facilitating small group teaching across the Professionalism and Knowledge curriculum themes.

 

Toby studied Medicine at Cardiff University, where he also completed a BSc in Medical Education. He worked in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth before moving to Cornwall.

 

Dr Jackman is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has completed an Advanced Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice with the University of Exeter.

 

He also works as a Clinical Radiology trainee between the South West Imaging Training Academy and Royal Cornwall Hospital; and as an Academic Clinical Fellow on the NIHR Digital theme with the University of Plymouth, where he is currently studying for a Masters in Clinical Education.
