About me:
Philippa is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Medical School in Jonathon Mill’s group, researching epigenomic changes through the life-course, with respect to mental health and neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to this she investigated epigenomic changes in Alzheimer’s disease, and systemic metabolites in Alzheimer’s disease with Alexi Nott’s and Paul Elliot’s groups at Imperial College London. She completed her PhD in Genetic Epidemiology, researching genetic factors and the microbiome in rheumatoid arthritis in early 2021, with the Department of Twin Research at King’s College London.
She obtained her degree, BSc (Hons.) Medical Sciences from the University of Exeter in 2016, during which she undertook a research year at the University of Bristol investigating the role of the renin angiotensin system in Alzheimer’s disease.
