Dr Philip McBride holds a Ph.D in health sciences; his Ph.D investigated how step cadence and breaking up sedentary time interact with glucose control and physical function in people with type 2 diabetes. Philip joined University of Exeter in 2022 working as a Trial Manager for a Small Business Research Initiative project focussing on telerehabilitation for people who have had a stroke. Prior to this, Philip worked with University of Leicester conducting his PhD work which focussed on physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and physical function in people with type 2 diabetes. Philip has held other research posts with University of Leicester and University of Glasgow.
Philip currently acts as Trial Coordinator within Exeter CTU, working on the MORE-KARE, RecoverED, and Maintain trials. Philip is also a Lecturer on the Leading Clinical Research Delivery MSc course.
