Office hours

Oli works one day per week for UEMS which is typically on a Wednesday. He works a flexible working pattern which does not usually include Thursdays or Fridays for UEMS.

Oli is an NHS General Practice Partner at Narrowcliff Surgery in Newquay and sits on the Watergate Primary Care Network board. He has been part of the University of Exeter Medical School team from 2019. He is the Community Placement Lead at the University of Exeter Medical School for Cornwall, also working as clinical lead for the Year 3 and Year 4 tutorial program in Cornwall.

 

He completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical science at Durham University before studying medicine at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. His early medical career was based at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. He went on to work as a Clinical Development Fellow in emergency medicine and trauma and orthopaedic medicine within NHS Lothian in Edinburgh. Through this role he built experience in medical education, establishing an insitu simulation program and developing the use of mobile technology to aid junior doctor decision making in acute environments.  He returned to Cornwall to complete General Practice specility training doing so as an educational scholar focussed on near peer teaching and digital resources. 

 

He has worked in Sports and Exercise Medicine since 2014 in rugby and marathon events. He completed a diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Bath and trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound through the Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group (SMUG). He works for the Cornish Pirates supporting both players and stadium cover.
