About me:

Malcolm studied for his medical degree at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, as well as completing a Psychology degree during an optional year of study. His ENT specialist training was in the South West of the UK, based around the Bristol area.

During his specialist training Malcolm also travelled overseas for dedicated speciality fellowships, working in Toronto, Canada and Darwin, Northern Australia.

Since 2006 he has travelled to Nepal on a regular basis to take part in ear surgery charity camps run by a UK based charity, BRINOS (Britain Nepal Otology Service). During a 10 day stay it typically performs 140-150 major ear operations for patients who may travel several miles from surrounding areas to attend the camp.

When not at work Malcolm can generally be found biking or running with his dogs around the trails in East Devon.

Malcolm has an active research profile. He is an author on several clinical reviews in the Cochrane Database of Systematic reviews and regularly peer-review journal articles for the British Medical Journal and Annals of College of Surgeons, as well as ongoing research into the epidemiology of Meniere’s disease and vocal fold dysfunction in patients with severe asthma.
