About me:

Dominic graduated from The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with a Master’s Degree in Molecular Parasitology and Vector Biology. Subsequently, he pursued a PhD, working in a molecular and parasitology laboratory at the University of Exeter. His research during this time resulted in the publication of the first-ever obligate intranuclear eukaryotic parasite genome.

Subsequently, Dominic joined INTO University of Exeter, where he played a pivotal role in delivering the Foundation Biology, Human Biology, and Chemistry modules, catering to international students preparing to enrol in UK undergraduate programs. This underscores Dominic's dedication to nurturing academic growth and empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive impact globally.

Currently serving as the Academic Lead for the Life Science Resource Centre within the BMBS program, He is responsible developing and implementing engaging and interactive teaching practices and ultimately shaping the educational experiences of future doctors.

Beyond the BMBS program, Dominic is the Academic Lead for the Integrated Human Physiology (IHP) module. This core module is instrumental in providing foundational knowledge of human physiology to first-year undergraduate students in Medical Sciences, Neurosciences, and Sport Sciences as they embark on their respective academic journeys.

As the lead of the Devon Healthcare Hub, Dominic oversees a widening participation initiative that delivers sustained and targeted support to disadvantaged college students. This support is crucial in overcoming educational barriers and ensuring access to science-related degree programs for students who may face challenges in their current educational environment.
