About me:

Clare is the Director of Education and Student Experience for undergraduate Biomedical Sciences programmes and joined the Medical School in November 2011. She is involved in teaching on the Medicine, Neuroscience, Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences and Medical Sciences degree programmes.

Career:

Before joining the Medical School in Novermber 2011, Clare was involved in cardiovascular science research, with a particular focus on the molecular mechanisms of cardiac muscle contractile regulation. After undertaking her undergraduate dissertation project and PhD in this field, she was a postdoctoral researcher in cardiovascular research laboratories in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Washington State University, Pullman, USA (2004-2006), the National Heart and Lung Insitute, Imperial College London (2006-2008), the Research Department of Metabolism and Experimental Therapeutics, University College London (2008-2009) and the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre, Imperial College London (2009-2011).
