Ayodele holds a First-Class B. Agric. degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics and an M. Agric. with Distinction in Animal Biotechnology, both from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Exeter Medical School, United Kingdom.

His research focuses on mechanobiology, an emerging interdisciplinary field at the intersection of biomedical science and biomechanics. Specifically, he is investigating the crosstalk between cell-extracellular matrix interactions in lung fibrosis.

Over the years, he has developed and honed various laboratory techniques, including DNA and mRNA extraction, qPCR, and RT-PCR. He is proficient in tissue and cell culture, immunofluorescence, and western blotting assays. His expertise extends to advanced microscopy techniques, utilizing sophisticated systems such as Confocal, Multiphoton, and Raman microscopes.

He has worked with diverse model systems for his research, including 2D monolayer cells, 3D spheroids, and precision-cut lung slices (PCLS). Additionally, he is skilled in using analytical software such as ImageJ, GraphPad Prism, and Python for image processing and quantitative data analysis.

He has also contributed to six peer-reviewed journal publications, underscoring his commitment to advancing scientific knowledge.
