Overview

Dr Fox has been the BMBS Hospital Sub-Dean (Exeter) and Honorary Senior lecturer since 2018.  He is the specialty lead for Endocrinology at UEMS.

He trained at Imperial College London and worked in the southeast and southwest in specialist training in Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine.

He works as a consultant physician at the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust working in the field of Diabetes and Acute Medicine.  His interests are in Diabetes Technologies, the Diabetic foot, weight management and he is the lead clinician for Community Diabetes and Inpatient Diabetes.

Teaching

Teaching responsibilities: (Undergraduate, Postgraduate)

He has a strong interest in medical undergraduate and postgraduate education and is the first author of 2 textbooks of Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus aimed at medical students and junior doctors.

He was awarded the Innovation in Teaching Award for UEMS in 2018.
