Sarah’s role as Executive Officer is to provide executive support to the College Registrar and the PVC in all aspects of their work with regard to the day-to-day running of UEMS. This includes providing the secretariat for the College Executive Group (CEG) and College Strategic Development Board (CSDB); internal governance activities; risk management; business planning; workload planning and SWARM; and the drafting of papers and reports. Sarah is also Co-Chair of the College's Equality & Diversity Group (previously the Athena SWAN Working Group).
Sarah was shortlisted for the 2013 Roddy Ross Memorial Prize, an annual award made to Professional Services staff within the University, and was nominated for the Excellent Service Award and the David Allen Hero/ine of the Year Award at the 2015 Professional Services Recognition Awards.

Prior to joining the University, Sarah worked as Knowledge & Information Manager at the South West Regional Development Agency, where she was responsible for knowledge management strategy and activity; records management strategy and policy; and intranet and web content management.
Sarah is an experienced project manager, holding Prince 2 and MSP registered practitioner status.
