Overview

Martin joined the university in 2018 after working in both the governance and delivery of research studies across the south west in the NHS for several years.

Martin has been in the role of Project Manager since September 2021 and in January 2024 Martin joined the psychology department working with Professor Ed Watkins on a new Wellcome Trust funded project investigating the mechanisms driving the reduction in repetitive negative thought.

Prior to joining the university Martin was working clinically in the NHS as a registered Operating Department Practitioner and latterly as Research Practitioner. After covering for 12 months as the Deputy Research and development manager in an NHS trust Martin left clinical practice to concentrate on research delivery.
