Jo has worked for the University of Exeter Medical School as a systematic reviewer within PenTAG since 2014. Her current role in PenTAG is to evaluate health technologies, including medicines and diagnostic tools for NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence).

Before joining PenTAG she was a PhD student at the University of Exeter (2011-2014) where she investigated the effects of exercise on appetite and food intake in children.
